Salary: Starting 40k to 80k yearly, (based on experience)
Shift Hours: First 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Second Shift 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm. (Note: Flexible shift hours may be negotiated.)
Position Description:
We are an electronics manufacturing company located in North San Diego County looking for a hardworking and quick learning motivated individual for a position as Cam/Planning Engineer. For this entry-level position, we’re looking for individuals who work well in teams but are also able to work independently. The trainee will learn how to detect problems, use CAM software, and read prints along with daily duties. Opportunities for advancement into a career position.
Responsibilities:
The candidate would input customer electronic data into our CAM software for review. Then check the data against our manufacturing guidelines while developing a build sequence/traveler for the manufacture of that specific job. Finally, the CAM/Planner would create and output tooling programs for drill & rout CNC machines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years experience in PCB manufacturing environment
- Positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and ability to adapt and learn new processes and procedures
- Able to read prints/travelers
- Able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English
- Ability to read and follow written instructions
- Ability to process high school-level mathematics
- Ability to work together as part of a team under limited supervision or independently
Beneficial Skills and Experience:
- Basic computer skills
- College Degree in an Engineering Discipline
- Frontline PCB: GenFlex, InCAM, or InCam Pro
- CAD/CAM Software experience
- CAM/Planning Engineering experience (Highly Desired)
Required Internal Training:
- HCI Orientation
- All pertaining process procedures that relate to job function
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
