Position Type: Full-time

Shift / Times: 1st shift (7:00am - 3:30pm) and 2nd shift (2:30pm - 11:00pm) Training may take place on first shift hours (7:00am - 3:30pm). 
Note: Second shift hours may adjust earlier or later as the Company needs may change.

 

Position Description:

We are an electronics manufacturing company located in North San Diego County looking for a hardworking and quick learning motivated individual for a position as Cam/Planning Engineer. For this entry-level position, we’re looking for individuals who work well in teams but are also able to work independently. The trainee will learn how to detect problems, use CAM software, and read prints along with daily duties. Opportunities for advancement into a career position.

 

Responsibilities:

The individual in this position will conduct Contract Review on Purchase Orders, Customer Drawings, and other product pertinent information that contributes to the manufacturing and acceptability of the PCB.  The individual will utilize CAM Software to analyze, run Design Rule Checks, Create IPC & Customer Coupons, Panelize the PCB for manufacturing, and output files for production use.  Lastly, this position requires the creation of Production Planning Travelers for process instructions for manufacturing the PCB.  This position requires close work with Sales team, Customer, Production, and Peer interaction to ensure the success, quality, and accuracy of the entire PCB process.  This position requires highly motivated, self-sufficient, and independent thinker to function in this multi-role Engineering position.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Positive attitude, a strong work ethic and ability to adapt and learn new processes and procedures
  • Able to read blueprints/travelers
  • Able to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions
  • Ability to process high school level mathematics
  • Ability to work together as part of a team under limited supervision or independently

 

Beneficial Skills and Experience:

  • 2 Years minimum experience in PCB manufacturing environment
  • Proficient knowledge of InCAM Pro, Genesis, GenFlex, or other CAM software's for PCB manufacture
  • Excellent computer skills
  • College Degree in an Engineering Discipline
  • CAD/CAM Software experience
  • CAM/Planning Engineering experience (Highly Desired)

 

Required Internal Training:

  • HCI Orientation
  • All pertaining process procedures that relate to job function

 

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent MINIMUM

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will spend long periods of time at a computer station (typing & reviewing data on the monitor and printed documents) The employee is required to frequently reach with hands and arms, manipulate mouse and keyboard in repetitive motions.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or up-to 50  pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.
