Shipping & Receiving Clerk - Assembly

Reports To: Shift Manager/Supervisor
Position Type: Onsite - Full-time [40 hours per week]
Shift Days: Monday - Friday
Shift Hours: First 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Hourly Rate: $20

 

Position Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team at Hughes Circuits Inc. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory records, and supporting supply chain operations to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Package electronic components and finished goods using ESD-safe and appropriate protective materials
  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments, verifying accuracy against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including packing slips, shipping labels, bills of lading, and export paperwork, ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy, quality, and adherence to customer and company specifications
  • Capture images of finished products using digital cameras for records or reporting
  • Operate shipping systems and software to process orders and track shipments
  • Coordinate with production, quality, and inventory teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and receipts in inventory management systems
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize shipping and receiving processes and identify improvements
  • Follow ESD controls, safety protocols, and maintain a clean, organized workstation in accordance with 5S standards
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively in a team environment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in shipping, packaging, or warehouse operations preferred, electronics or manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Experience with ERP or shipping software 
  • Knowledge of shipping regulations and best practices

 

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies:

  • Familiarity with inventory management software and tools
  • Proficient in data entry and record-keeping

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration.  The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock.
